OVERVIEW:
In the spring of 2006, Event Resources received a last minute phone call from St. Paul Travelers seeking event production elements for a press conference that was intended to take place at the Capitol. Not only was the decision to hold the press conference made very quickly but, when Governor Rell was called to Colorado to be with her family, the press conference was relocated to St. Paul Travelers’ own rotunda – and they needed help fast! ERI, with less than 18 hours notice, activated its staff to provide a stage for both the press conference and the media, and a seated area for the audience. In conjunction with the sound support that we supplied, we successfully patched Governor Rell through our sound system, which enabled Governor Rell to address the crowd from across the country from her cell phone. This certainly added a special element to the event, as St. Paul Travelers, the Hartford Jaycees, and the Buick Championship announced that in 2007, St. Paul Travelers would become the title sponsor of the Hartford PGA event.
