OVERVIEW:
Each year, the Hartford Public Library hosts a nationally acclaimed author to visit the library, and participate in an evening of conversation, reading, and dining. The event is held in a large tent behind the library’s Arch St. location, and invitations are extended to HPL’s patrons. In 2006, internationally known author and character Malachy McCourt graced us with his anecdotes, advice, and of course, his books. To complement the Irish feel of the evening, guests were entertained by the music of local act Calley McGrane and the Exiles. Event Resources supplied the tent, tables, chairs, stage, and lectern. In addition, we also provided sound support for Malachy’s speech, and the musicians.
