OVERVIEW:
Sponsored by Citizen’s Bank, this event celebrated the publishing of Artists Next Door, a book devoted to the life and works of local New Haven artists. The launch took place in New Haven’s historic Shubert Theater, and utilized some creative production elements from Event Resources. The Arts Council of New Haven created a PowerPoint slide show featuring images from the book, and we provided LCD monitors and large format projectors to display the images throughout the theater. The on-stage images were projected onto Spandex stretch screens on the rear wall and sidewalls of the theater’s stage area. In addition to the projected images from the book, theatrical lighting was used to fill out the space visually, and create a party atmosphere. Event Resources was on site through out the project and the event to make sure the event ran smoothly and to direct the house crew at the Shubert Theater.
