OVERVIEW:
Each fall, Hartford’s downtown area is shut down to make way for the Connecticut Veterans Day Parade. Not only are all the area’s civil services involved in the event, but the public also makes an appearance in the thousands to celebrate our nation’s veterans. On the corner of Gold and Main Streets, the City’s show mobile is set up as a reviewing stand and houses many dignitaries as well as the announcer that welcomes all of the parade units to the reviewing stand area. Event Resources outfits the show mobile in patriotic bunting, and installs a sound system that accommodates the thousands that crowd onto Main Street to take part in the festivities.
